I’m sitting on a train towards Poland, it’s the only journey on this tour I’ve absolutely dreaded yet I feel nothing but utter joy.
As many know, I used to be a HUGE fangirl when it comes to Davey Havok though the past couple of years it has very much calmed down… I barely react when meeting him nowadays, it makes me insanely happy but there are no skipping heartbeats and “OMG” screams like in the past.
Yesterday that changed briefly.
We’d been at the Vienna show. We’d arrived 30 minutes before AFI went on but battled our way to the front row which was fantastic, I was so happy since we’re nearing the end now and probably won’t be front row for the last 3.
It was an ok gig, the boys gave their all of course but the crowd were lame + plus they kept throwing beer at the stage towards Davey, majorly pissed me off.
As always we had alot of interaction with Davey which was lovely. We think he finds some sort of comfort in having us as a steady part of this. No matter how crappy the crowd is, the band knows that we are there giving it our everything.
But who knows…

Anyway after the gig we hung out by the bus first with Simon who drives the stage truck and was kind enough to offer us a couple of rides for the last two gigs… It’s awesome, it’ll really help us alot.
Then we hung out with Alastair who we’d been to lunch and at the zoo with earlier that day.
Andy came along as well and many jokes were made about the singer of Sum 41.
While speaking to them our dear Adam comes out.
We just say hi since we’d just hung out with him like a day ago.
Alastair and Andy give up, say goodnight (though not before stealing water for us from the tourbus) and go to get some sleep.
Shortly after Hunter and Davey appears. As suspected everyone jumps Davey while we stand back both annoyed at the rudeness of people but still giggling as we see Davey trying to desperately make his way to the tourbus…. The WRONG tourbus.
He figures it out quick though, laughs and go towards the right one telling everyone he’ll be right back out.
We say hi to Hunter who’s hanging out for a bit but quickly disappears into the tourbus.
Soon we see people swarming around the door of the bus and figure Monsiour Havok has appeared.
We wait around for a bit till everyone has spoken to him, gotten an autograph and what not…. Then we wander over there.

Davey sees us, smiles and says “Hey you guys” •heartflutter at the recognition on his part•
At the same time someone rudely interrupts and ask Davey if he likes Anti Flag.
Davey says he knows the guys but don’t really listen to the music. The guy asking does not seem pleased with this answer but instead of going further into it, Davey looks at us, laughs and shrugs adorably while saying “What am I supposed to say?” laughs again “Does he want me to lie?”
I don’t remember if I actually got a chance to reply to this cause the guy quickly interrupts again and asks Davey about some song I do not remember the name of.

Davey goes “I don’t know it” and them gives us his full attention again.
I go “So how are you?” and he answers “Good, how are you?” I tell him I’m ok, Camilla says she’s cold.
Davey says it’s not so bad here (read: in Vienna) compared to some of the other places.
We talk a bit about crappy Milan weather and then Narci makes it known that it is time to go.
We tell Davey “See you in Poland”, he smiles widely and says “See you guys”
It was the most relaxed I’ve ever seen him act around me or any other fan. It was so obvious that he was comfortable around us now and that we had his “approval”… Which is very hard to get as a fan, normally he is very reserved.

We walked away from there at first both silently stunned and then as we rounded the corner the reality of it all hit us and we majorly freaked out about how amazing it all was. I don’t think I’ve ever spluttered OH MY GOD!!!! so many times.
It was epic…

There is a reason he is still the man of my dreams ;)
