So feeling a little better about the whole situation we went back to our hostel where we’d have to hang out till 4am without any sleep since we didn’t actually have a room but were allowed to hang out in the TV room.
We were so tired we wanted to die and ended up napping for 30 minutes of a tiny and hard wooden bench. It was so uncomfortable but sleep of any sorts was so needed.
We finally headed to our train that would take us to Birmingham. Sadly we had to change trains in the middle of our journey so this meant fucked up sleep once again. I think I managed to catch 2 hours in total that night/day.
We got there around 8 and headed straight to the venue. We felt miserable but had no choice but to just go there.
Luckily our dear Sanchia had arrived earlier and was holding a spot for us… I miss that girl.
This turned out to be some of the most horrible sitting in line we’d ever done. The security had absolutely no idea what the fuck they were doing and ended up doing 3 lines that’d be let in at the same time. We were pissed and very nervous we wouldn’t get our spot.
After near heartattacks we were let in and luckily made it to our spot front center. We breathed many sighs of relief.
The gig was absolutely fucking epic!!! They played It was mine, …But home is nowhere, Perfect Fit, Love Like Winter with Dan Under and Kill Caustic with Lou Koller. They had some crazy energy going on. I was completely blown away.
After the gig we chatted to Lou, told him we’d miss them and hoped they’d come back soon. He hugged us both, he seemed genuinely fond of us. We had our picture taken with him and then said goodbye and went to chat to Dan Under.
We had our picture taken with him as well and then went to hang around by the tourbus to say bye to Craig from SOIA whom Camilla had some sort of friendship going on with.
Spoke briefly to Adam about Poland, said bye to Craig and then went back to our hotel to get some much needed sleep.
